but THE DEATH PANEL IS NOW REAL IN AMERICA
Sarah Murnaghan was about to become
the first Death Panel victim in America under the new NObamacare
healthcare (Ha!) program, but the highly publicized cry of outrage
from the public saved her life by laser focusing too much immediate
public attention on the situation and facts, ultimately forcing the government
bureaucrats to act in time to save the girl's life, this time !
While Sarah may have been saved
this time by the media attention, the whole real point is
that the decision was in the hands of government bureaucrats and
politicians like Kathleen Sebelius, instead of the patient's DOCTORS
!!! That truly is a DEATH PANEL
because Sebelius was totally prepared to enforce the administrative
rules and just let the patient die, instead of responding as requested
by the DOCTORS and as demanded by the medical circumstances !!!
And of course, the real questions arising out of all of this are:
(1) "What will happen next time a child is this sick ?"
(If the media doesn't publicize the patient's plight in that case, as was done in this one?); and
(2)
"What will happen when, in the future, it is your child or grandchild
that is the patient in question?
WHO WILL YOU WANT IN CHARGE OF THAT DECISION ??
Will you also be able to
generate the media publicity that is apparently necessary to save your sick child's life ???
I DOUBT IT !
Is that really the basis (non-medical) you want your health care system to operate on ?
Are bureaucrats and politicians really the people you want making your family's medical decisions?
Are you sure?
REPEAL IT FOR WANT OF
